Level 1 – Beginners

This is the beginners curriculum for Chen Tai Chi.

Aim: The aim of this level is to introduce the student to the theory and principles of Tai Chi via working on the Foundation breathing exercise, Silk Reel Exercises and the foundation routines.

  1. Nine Breathing Exercises
  2. Silk Reeling Exercises
  3. 5 Elements Tai Chi

At the end of the course you should be able to:

  1. Execute the 5 elements (4 movements) on your own.
  2. Follow the Foundation breathing exercises and silk reeling exercises with the helps of the youtube videos.
  3. To feel the Qi sensation on the fingers during the breathing exercises.

Silk Reeling Exercise
