with Grandmaster Zhu Tian Cai
Chenjiagou Taijiquan is an ancient art passed through the generations in a little village called Chenjiagou in Henan Province, China. It is imparted through a holistic, comprehensive 3-tier training framework that aims to teach the practitioner to foster unity in, (a) strength and motor skills (External), (b) inner balance of the body (Internal), and (c) mental discipline (Spiritual).
Below are some insights on internal training which I have picked up from my study under my teacher, GM Zhu Tian Cai as well as from his writings. I hope this will be helpful to everyone who is striving to proceed deeper into their development of Taijiquan.
All are welcome to this Free preview.
Some people practice Taijiquan primarily for self-defence or fighting, and others are more interested in its beneficial effects on physical and mental health. The true taijiquan schools from a traditional lineage impart their training within a martial art context, even if a majority of their students profess that they are only interested in learning for the claimed health benefits.
